Pondering Before Rosh Hashanah

שָׁלוֹם‎

It is nearly sunset signalling the start of Rosh Hashanah, and to be perfectly honest, I'm concerned what the next year will bring in.

In the last what? 2 months we have had Kim Jong-Un, the leader of The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, testing nuclear weapons, hydrogen weapons, and in a flagrant act of war, he not once, but twice, flew ballistic missiles over Japanese territory and it has so far ended on the US President Donald Trump stating that if they threaten them or an ally, they will destroy them.

I always like to look for the good in the new years to come, a chance to really try to make complete G*d's Will. A chance to set the path straight and realise what needs to be done. Maybe just even taking a moment to thank G*d for everything He has done.

However with the acts that have preceded this new year on, on Rosh Hashanah I will have this thought lingering in the back of my head. But what can be done about it? What can we do ourselves to help calm the situation and try to restore peace between people? We can pray.

We need to realise that when G*d created the world, it was perfect, and then when Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, he brought sin into the world and with it came disease, violence, death and destruction.

Now more than ever going into Rosh Hashanah, we need to pray that G*d's Holy Will, will be done and that we will see the Messiah, Y'shua, Jesus, come and bring about some peace. Whilst the scripture's do talk about upheaval and wars, famine and everything in the final days. I still believe we, as children of the Most High, can be allowed some peace.

So if you do go into Rosh Hashanah with the same thoughts and concerns as myself. Pray. Pray for the peace of Y'shua. And pray for the peace of the world.

Have a good Rosh Hashanah, and I will see you all in the new year.

G*d Bless.
